The Fortuna Gaian Chain carries three separate emblems of good fortune. Round green aventurine beads - mossy green with natural speckling, long regarded as the luck stone - alternate with warm metallic pyrite for abundance, and set into the centre of the cluster is a small antique-silver elephant charm, detailed enough to read clearly at the neckline. The mixed metals are deliberate: the oxidised silver elephant is what stops the piece looking like a plain gold bead chain. Tarnish-resistant stainless steel base, nickel-free and hypoallergenic, with a secure lobster clasp.

STYLING TIP: The elephant sits at the centre front, so wear it where it can be seen and let it be the only charm you have on. Green aventurine reads warmest against cream, olive and brown. Because the charm is antique silver rather than gold, this is also the easiest crystal piece to wear if your other jewellery is silver.
