The Pixelia Heart Pendant borrows the eight-bit heart from old video games and builds it properly in metal - not a smooth heart with a texture printed on, but an actual staircase of small square gold blocks stepping in and out to form the shape, hollow through the centre. Every one of those squares holds a small round deep red stone, so the outline reads as a solid line of colour from a distance and resolves into individual pixels up close. That is the whole joke and it lands well. It hangs on a fine flat snake chain, included. Built on a tarnish-resistant stainless steel base, nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
